Parley E. Acker, M.A., president and founder of CareerWon, is dedicated to helping young people achieve success, balance and passion in their
careers. He has over 20 years of experience as a career coach, counselor and human resources executive. Early in his career, Mr. Acker worked as a
private high school counselor and as a psychologist. He then spent 19 years as a human resources and career development executive with companies
that include Citigroup, Flowserve and General Electric.
As senior vice president at Citi, Mr. Acker managed a human resources organization for a $17 billion business. His knowledge of how companies
select, promote and develop employees has proven invaluable in helping his clients pursue their career direction, develop their personal brands and
resumes and effectively interview for jobs. As a Talent Development expert, he has worked with a variety of organizations in the areas of Gen Y
management and development, career and talent management, organization effectiveness, executive coaching and learning management.
Mr. Acker holds a B.A. in Psychology from Marist College and an M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the State University of New York
at New Paltz. He is a recent member of the executive advisory board for the Marist College School of Graduate and Continuing Education and has
been a career mentor for the University of Texas at Dallas. Mr. Acker leads a group of passionate career consultants who are dedicated to helping

Kathy is a member of the national and local Dallas chapters of the Society for Human Resources Management and is a certified Senior Professional in
Human Resources. Kathy also recently completed the Certified Career Management Coach Course with the Career Management Alliance.
